Presenters
Venu Bathini, MD, is the associate director of the Hematology/Oncology
Fellowship Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He is also an assistant
professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Michael Blute, MD, is the director of the Cancer Center of Excellence at
UMass Memorial Health Care, and interim chief of the Division of Urology in
the Department of Surgery. He is also a professor of surgery at the University
of Massachusetts Medical School.
Beverly Hay, MD, is chief of the Division of Genetics at UMass Memorial Medical
Center and assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts
Medical School.
Sharon Hylka, RN, MSN, is a senior vice president at UMass Memorial Medical
Center with responsibility for the Cancer Center of Excellence.
Robert Klugman, MD, is chief quality officer at UMass Memorial Medical Center,
a practicing internist, and clinical associate professor of medicine at the University
of Massachusetts Medical School.
Laura Lambert, MD, is a surgical oncologist at UMass Memorial Medical
Center and an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Massachusetts
Medical School.
Justin Maykel, MD, is chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at
UMass Memorial Medical Center and an assistant professor of surgery at the
University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Leonard Morse, MD, is the commissioner of public health for the City of
Worcester. He has worked for the City of Worcester for more than 50 years.
Dominic Nompleggi, MD, PhD, is chief of gastroenterology at UMass Memorial
Medical Center and an associate professor of medicine at the University of
Massachusetts Medical School.
Richard Pieters, MD, MEd, is a radiation oncologist at UMass Memorial Medical
Center and an associate professor of clinical radiation oncology and pediatrics at
the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Bilal Piperdi, MD, is director of the Clinical Research Office, UMass Memorial
Cancer Center, and assistant professor of medicine at the University of
Massachusetts Medical School.
Mary Sullivan, NP, is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Surgical Oncology at
UMass Memorial Medical Center.
